DVD Memories is a unique company that transforms photos, VHS, 8mm & slides into a DVD for all to watch on a TV or computer. 

DVD Memories started out of a need for mom to look at my daughter’s South African pictures.  Mom has a condition where looking into a book for too long makes her nauseous.  So I decided to place the 700 photos with African background music on a DVD so mom would be able to watch and view the photos in the comfort of her living room while watching the TV.

I then decided to make a DVD for my Canadian and Scottish families. This DVD was 30 years of memories of Canadian and Scottish photos.  My daughter loved what she saw and wanted five DVD’s made for her friends as gifts.  And the friends loved what they saw….the next thing I knew; I was “DVD Memories”!

My goal is to bring peoples memories forward using DVD’s.  They are user friendly and easy mailing for friends & family, especially if the family & friends are overseas.  Many hidden treasures are on VHS tapes and in slides.

The Clan Mackay is an ancient and once powerful Scottish clan from the country's far north in the Scottish Highlands, but with roots in the old province of Moray. They played a powerful force in politics beginning in the 12th century, supporting Robert the Bruce. Mackays became famous for strength, courage and skill in soldiering and were involved in endless clan battles against Keiths, Rosses, Gunns, Sinclairs, Sutherlands and others, and wars abroad. In the centuries that followed they were very anti-Jacobite. They played an important role in the military activities of both Scotland and Europe. The Highland Clearances had dire ramifications for the clan, but since then they spread throughout the world and have provided it many famous and influential descendants.
